‘Bachelorette’ Contestant Tyler Gwozdz Dies of Suspected Overdose

Former Bachelorette contestant Tyler Gwozdz, who competed on Hannah Brown's season, has died at the age of 29, according to People. According to TMZ, his body is now with the Palm Beach County Medical Examiner's Office.

The Palm Beach ME said an autopsy report would be available in eight to 12 weeks.

Earlier today, it was revealed that Tyler G. had possibly overdosed on heroin and was in the hospital for treatment.

Earlier on Thursday, a spokesperson for the Boca Raton Police Services Department told PEOPLE that they "responded to a medical overdose" involving Gwozdz on January 13, adding that "the case is an active ongoing investigation".

Tyler appeared on Hannah Brown's Season 15 of The Bachelorette and went on the first one-on-one date of the season. He reportedly remained in the hospital for a week and was listed in critical but stable condition. TMZ reported he was "no longer in their system" by Tuesday.

'Tyler G. had to leave, and that's upsetting, because I really enjoyed my date with him, ' she explained shortly. Brown opened up to him about receiving the first one-on-one date card herself during her season with Colton Underwood on "The Bachelor".

He told the outlet the reason his actual exit wasn't aired was to respect his privacy.

On his Bachelorette profile, Tyler's occupation is listed as a psychology graduate student with a side business in Dream Therapy Analysis.
