For those who don't play the game., Risky Reels is Fortnite's drive-in theater.

Risky Reels will show a scene from Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker next weekend, according to posters popping up in Fortnite.

The poster also seems to tease an appearance of some sort from J.J. Abrams, the director of the newest Star Wars film. Posters around the map reveal the details.

In-game posters advertising the special event state "Doors open" at 1.30pm Eastern (that's 6.30pm United Kingdom time) next Saturday, 14th December.

Fortnite developer Epic Games later confirmed the news directly on Twitter (not that there was any doubt).

Will you be watching Fortnite's Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker live event? "You won't want to miss this".

You can safely pay a visit to Risky Reels by loading up Fortnite's Creative Mode, which lets you mess around freely on the Battle Royale map.

Are you excited to see the exclusive scene or will you wait until the movie comes out to avoid any spoilers? On Friday evening, a select group of Fortnite players was able to see a suspicious gathering of four characters with Epic developer gamertags staring at the Risky Reels screen. For those who do not know, Epic Games has already partnered with the Star Wars franchise in the past.

While speculation about a possible Star Wars live event has been happening amongst the Fortnite community over the past few days, murmurs turned to shouts when popular Fortnite leaker ShiinaBR surfaced newly decrypted files from this week's 11.21 update. Recently, they teamed up to release an official Storm Trooper skin to celebrate the release of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order.

"The Rise of Skywalker" in theaters December 20.
