Police say they have identified the teen believed to have written a message last month in a San Luis Obispo High School bathroom warning of a school shooting.

The shooting happened at Oshkosh West High School.

"The student and officer were both injured and transported to local hospitals", police said.

"This is a big deal", Mann said. We do not know the extent of their injuries.

The Wisconsin Department of Justice Division of Criminal Investigation is taking over the investigation. The school has been locked down.

The school is being evacuated and students are being transported to Perry Tipler Middle School. Parents can meet with their children there.

An Oshkosh West student identified only as Evelyn told WLUK-TV that she was in class when she heard screaming and her teacher walked out. He told us he saw students running across the street. Where are we going? Authorities have not said if other students were in the classroom during the ensuing standoff.

The shooting comes one day after a similar incident in Waukesha, about 90 miles away from Oshkosh West High, on Monday. It's a parent's "worst nightmare".

High school administrators did not immediately return calls for comment.

Just before 11 a.m., school buses were lined up outside the school and streets were blocked off.

The school in Oshkosh - about 90 miles north of Milwaukee - was placed on lockdown after the shooting, which was reported at 9:12 a.m., police said.

The shooting occurred the morning of Monday, Dec. 2 at Waukesha South High School. Officials say that student pointed a handgun at officers. The student was listed in stable condition and taken into custody. Only one student was injured, ' the police department said. "The student's parents were notified and informed about the serious nature of this incident". They said lockdown but everyone was running out of the school.

"These are really tragic incidents but it's also true we have seen incidents where there has been mass tragedy", Kaul said. They went over the intercom and everyone was freaking out over the intercom. Armed school resource officers have rarely prevented a school shooting.
