Project Resistance is coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam, and looks to be enhanced for the PS4 Pro and Xbox One X. The remake of Resident Evil 2 has been a huge hit, topping the charts across the world and selling 3 million units in the first week alone. It accomplishes this by pulling information from the PlayStation Network API.

The covers reveal that Nemesis, the big bad from the original game of 1999, will be back in action as the remake's main antagonist, alongside lead characters Jill Valentine and Carlos Oliveira, looking ready for combat against the backdrop of Raccoon City.

From the looks of it, it appears the Resident Evil 3 Remake will be built using the RE Engine that the RE2 Remake and RE7 used.

Aside from the English icons, Resident Evil 3 will also be sold as Biohazard 3 in Japan, and will also have a Z Version that contains more gore (but not as much as the Western release).

There are two covers for Resident Evil 3, as usual, both of which prominently feature Nemesis.

Will Capcom go the full distance and develop a Resident Evil CODE: Veronica Remake at some point?

It appears that the announcement for Resident Evil 3 Remake is nearly upon us.

Resident Evil 2 producer Yoshiaki Hirabayashi has previously indicated Capcom would consider further Resident Evil remakes if fans "voice their enthusiasm" for them. A tweet from prolific industry observer Nibel also showed off the U.S. cover with Resident Evil 3, rather than Biohazard, title treatment.

In case you're wondering, The Video Game Awards 2019 event will air on December 13th.
