If you want another look at the PS5 devkit images, we have just the thing now!

It seems to be still too early to talk seriously about the power of Xbox Scarlett, considering that Microsoft has not yet sent the devkits to most developers and that even widespread ones are quite distant from their final form. We additionally bought a proof for why the dev package is V-shaped.

There's also a rather chonky-looking PS5 controller that can be seen in the background, but the picture is mostly centred on the two dev kits.

Expect this news to be followed by an official pricing confirmation and people moaning about how we get ripped off down south when they compare local pricing to a direct cash to dollar conversion.

Fans may have been anxious that the unusual shapes would be the final design for the next PlayStation console.

One major improvement to PS5's controller is "adaptive triggers", which Sony says can offer varying levels of resistance to make game mechanics such as shooting a bow and arrow-the tension increasing as you pull the arrow back-feel more realistic. "The cooling is optimized to push air out of the sides and center". According to Warren, the V-shape design of the dev kit is meant to make it easier for developers to stack the consoles on top of one and another.

Meanwhile, Sony will be offering more PlayStation VR support, with a new generation of headsets expected to be announced in the future. Although PS5 devkits have already been released with a few devs, there is a lot of confusion about Xbox Scarlett devkits.

Will the PS5 retail unit look similar to this?

The PS5 is scheduled for launch in 2020.
