For those, who are bored by current-gen GT-R will be pleased with this new development.

Customer demand for the production version of the auto has been strong, with a significant number of deposits already taken, and customers across the globe are in the process of selecting personal specifications for their vehicles. Late 2020 is the start date for deliveries, and over in the Land of the Rising Sun, customers can purchase the GT-R50 through SCI Co., Ltd. The Japanese firm adds customers "across the globe" are now selecting personal specifications for their vehicles. Although, a "limited number" of reservations are still available. All it is saying is that there is a limited number of slots left for orders before deliveries start in late 2020. Apart from this development, Nissan also released first renderings of the production GT-R50 by Italdesign. For example, the camera on the side have been replaced with traditional wing mirrors.

Nissan collaborated with Turin, Italy-based Italdesign to create the models, based on the latest Nissan GT-R NISMO. Each model of Nissan GT-R50 By Italdesign comes with Nismo-tuned, hand-build 3.8-liter twin-turbocharged V6 engine.

The GT-R50 is priced at 990,000 euros, or approximately $ 1.1 million, and features a completely redesigned Italdesign appearance and a performance increase of up to 710 horsepower and 575 lb-ft of torque from the 600 HP of the original auto and 481 lb-ft of torque.

"Our customers have relished the personalized experience provided by Italdesign, who have a long tradition in the exclusive field of ultra-rare, bespoke high-performance vehicles", said Bob Laishley, global sports auto program director at Nissan.

There's no denying the GT-R50 is a collectible, a blue-chip investment that will only grow in value with the passing of time.
