Leicester revival under Rodgers has fans dreaming again

Arsenal are keen to secure the correct long-term successor following their torrid run of recent form, the North London side now eight points adrift of the top four and facing the prospect of missing out on Champions League football four a fourth successive season. But we'd be lying if we all said Leicester are one of the top clubs in the country.

"I was asked a question yesterday about my contract, talking about clauses and stuff like that, and I gave an honest answer which was based on most managers probably have something in their contract", said Rodgers.

Leicester have won 10 of their 14 league games this season and have 32 points ― three points more than they had at this stage of their remarkable 2015-16 title-winning season.

"I think for me in this moment we've had a brilliant win today".

"I think if he moved now he'd nearly get that tag of jumping ship very quickly from places".

"I made a change eight or nine months ago".

Marco Silva's side believed they had secured a goalless draw at their near-neighbours exactly a year ago only for the England number one to weakly spill Virgil Van Dijk's hopeful, aimless lob onto the crossbar and present Divock Origi with a simple victor.

'We know the passion for both sides and with me being from up north I know what the passion's like with Sunderland and Newcastle.

The Nigeria worldwide, who has struggled in his spell with Leicester thus far, made an instant impression, crossing for Jamie Vardy to tap home the equaliser.

And Carragher, who worked under Rodgers at Liverpool, thinks his former boss should stay put.

'We know it's a great game to be playing in and we haven't had the luck of the green yet but we go there positive and we know the fans will be behind us, ' Pickford added.

Whatever happens, this uncertainty is good for us. This is a team that is so strong together.
