Frozen 2 rakes in $127m at its USA box office debut

Frozen 2 isn't letting go of its record-breaking box office run.

"'Solidified 2" is commanding North American moviegoing with as much as $155 million over the five-day Thanksgiving occasion in North America, gauges demonstrated Thursday.

The studio has also had five films make more than $1 billion at the global box office. That is over $370 million worldwide.

Per Deadline, this was the very best opening weekend ever for an animated title in France, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Czech Republic, Indonesia, Malaysia, Poland, Serbia, Slovenia, the UAE, and Ukraine; and highest 3-day opening weekend in Iceland and the UK.

The Disney film did extremely well internationally. It was the top opening animated film of all time in both countries.

"Granted, it's not easy following up on the first film", Disney distribution chief Cathleen Taff said.

After the overwhelming success of animated film Frozen 2, actor Kristen Bell has expressed a keen interest to work in more sequels of Frozen franchise. "Frozen 2" would surpass current record-holder "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire", which made $109 million over the Thanksgiving holiday in 2013, according to Comscore. The film got an A-Cinemascore and a 95% group of spectators score on Rotten Tomatoes.

The new films are receiving solid reviews.

"The expanded pedestrian activity brought to theaters civility of "Solidified 2" should start restored enthusiasm for the big screen understanding as eager moviegoers are presented to in-theater promoting and trailers for the up and coming record of movies on a more prominent level because of the ubiquity of this one huge blockbuster", Dergarabedian said. "I saw "Frozen 2" on the majestic IMAX screen at Navy Pier, and while it was in 2D, it felt more 3D than a lot of actual 3D movies".

"The one thing that's weird is that when you talk to them, they can't break".
