The weather agency warning of early morning snow come Monday and continuing into the evening. "Around 1" of snow is possible by 10am.

A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued for Venango County and surrounding areas. Light rain will mix with snow by mid-to-late morning Monday.

Precipitation will overspread the area today as low pressure tracks northeast up the Ohio Valley. Winds gusting as high as 30 miles per hour.

The threat of snow could lead to hazardous driving conditions over the coming days. We'll only reach the 20s on Wednesday and drop to 10 overnight. Conditions will deteriorate during the day on Monday with the heaviest snowfall rates and the worst travel is expected from late Monday afternoon through late Monday night. Lake effect bands should set up over both Lake Erie and Lake Ontario on Tuesday as cold northerly winds gear up. The snow showers will likely be more cellular in nature, generating an additional inch or so in some locations. Up to five inches of snow is predicted for the Plymouth area, while portions of Pulaski County could get three inches. The boundary layer will likely deepen through the day and allow for too much instability to organize the snow into a singular band.
