Despite consistently low scores for his dancing from the judges, Spicer has remained on the show because of his relationship with President Trump.

Last week, the 25-year-old opened up on Instagram about the emotional slump the show put her under, but she rebounded with the "comeback of the season", as declared by Judge Bruno. The former Fifth Harmony singer emerged victorious after an intense debate erupted between judges Carrie Ann Inaba, Bruno Tonioli and Len Goodman, who struggled to declare a victor as both were evenly matched.

The judges' faces were also noted by some viewers as well. It was revealed that her mother-in-law had died and the professional dancer opted to take the week off from the reality competition show. He goofily edged ever closer to the winner's circle, despite the judges' fervent efforts to boogie him into disgrace.

For the first time this season, the judges pulled out their 10 paddles.

He continued: "I was just saying that, if we're going to be on the same show, I'm going to have a respectful conversation with someone who's different from me".

Since Van Der Beek was last week's first place finisher, he was immune from the dance-off and was handed the bonus points by default.

Spicer has survived six rounds on the competition show even though he's earned the lowest scores from the judges over the last few weeks.

Even Spicer's dancing partner Jenna Johnson for the night (Spicer's regular partner Lindsay Arnold was out for the night), was shocked that she and Spicer were safe. Her quickstep to Tom Petty's "American Girl" practically radiated with joy as she danced perfectly in sync with partner Alan Bersten. Instead, well-scored hopefuls like model Sailor Brinkley-Cook, Queer Eye's Karamo Brown and, most recently, The Office alum Kate Flannery have been booted instead.

"Look at Bristol Palin; she made it to the final three", she wrote.

"But it's also fan votes, and, you know, middle America watches the show and they vote for him", he added. That's because Sean Spicer has not only joined the cast but is staying on over better dancers. Lindsay, I would do anything for you girl. "And also our president, who should be doing other stuff, has been tweeting "vote for the man".

One of the biggest storylines so far on season 28 ofDancing With the Stars is the Sean Spicer of it all.
