Doc Rivers Gets Technical Foul and Ejected, Son Austin Rivers Loves It

James Harden was pestered and harassed on defense by Patrick Beverley for most of Houston's game against the Los Angeles Clippers on Wednesday night. The 29-year old All Star ranked second in the league with 28 points per game last season to go along with 8.2 rebounds, 4.1 assists and a league-best 2.2 steals per game.

When Doc wouldn't stop arguing after the first technical, Austin wouldn't stop laughing.

The 3 put the Rockets up seven points immediately before Beverley's technical foul, which was followed by Clippers coach Doc Rivers' receiving two technical fouls and being ejected. He was given a technical foul. According to the Los Angeles Times, the All-Star swingman is trending toward Thursday's game against the Pelicans.

So, what can we learn Harden's first 11 games of the 2019-20 season? However, there were no incidents between them during Wednesday night's game at the Toyota Center. He is the best offensive player I have ever seen, he really is. Once he starts blinking his eyes fast ... that's when I know he's about to level up, about to start telling Tony to get him.

Speaking on the court after the game, Austin Rivers joked: "I had to get him out of here".

"He won't hold a grudge", Austin said. As a unit, we work too hard - coaches work too hard, players work too hard, staff work too hard - to prepare for each game, and to let a game come down to referees and free throws I don't think is fair.

"We failed to have earned to get with the way we were being participating in ideal now offensively or defensively but mistakes like that simply can not happen on this level", he explained. I'm not going to lie to you, I really did enjoy that. "In a four-point game, that can never happen".

"The refs screwed up", Rivers told reporters. He said that he tried to challenge a play but that it was past the 30 seconds allotted after a play in which to make a challenge. So they told him he failed to burn up a timeout on the problem and he had two remaining. I don't think he's yet to play even one minute with the starting lineup yet. That is why all of us reacted because we thought we had an extra timeout. Those mistakes can not happen.
