In the hours before the release, PV released a clip of Zucker talking about the forthcoming leaks on the 9AM morning call, confirming that their source is still "on the inside".

In one clip, a man identified as CNN floor coordinator Hiram Gonzalez referred to the network's role in promoting Mr. Trump, who has been credited with juicing the network's flagging ratings during the 2016 presidential campaign. But I made a decision to wear the camera because I didn't see any other option, because I noticed that I was in a very unique position in space and time to just do something to protect the republic. He chose to wear a hidden camera "to expose the bias".

O'Keefe had stressed that the whistleblower is not one of PV's undercover reporters, but one of Zucker's own employees. "I came here thinking this is my dream job and very quickly it descended into a nightmare that gave me trouble sleeping every night because it contradicted what I'd originally thought news should be". Poarch says the description sounded awfully like what CNN itself was doing.

According to Forbes, O'Keefe is considered a "conspiracy theorist" and "provocateur of the far right", who once failed in tricking The Washington Post to cover a fake news story about Republican politician Roy Moore. "Like, it's just pumping out propaganda".

Trump floated a lawsuit threat Monday against CNN over the alleged bias.

"I hate everything, how everything is like all Trump all the time now".

Those commenting on social media said the video revealed beyond a doubt CNN's anti-Trump agenda and political bias, while others downplayed the report's significance.

"Poarch reportedly kept track of "several" of Zucker's conference calls, in which he claims Zucker holds the daily meeting "with an iron fist" aimed directly at "hammering Trump" or Republicans in general".

"MSNBC is tougher on Republicans, and we're tough on the Republicans too, more so than the Democrats", Sierra admits.

"It was like we were at a funeral-people were like, in shock".

"But for someone to purport that they are straight up, down the middle, facts first, the most trusted name in news like the CNN of old, I saw many things everyday to the contrary and I spent the first basically two years of my employment there basically fighting what I originally thought", Poarch explained.

In its latest investigative piece, Project Veritas claims to expose the anti-Trump culture at the highest levels of the news outlet.
