He left the game at the end of the second quarter and did not return.

Alabama plays Arkansas on October 26 before taking a bye ahead of their monumental SEC West showdown with the Tigers.

Tagovailoa was able to recover in time for the game, and led the Crimson Tide to a 45-34 win over Kyler Murray and Oklahoma.

Alabama quarterback Tua Tagovailoa left in the first half against Tennessee with an ankle injury.

Alabama head coach Nick Saban issued an injury update for his quarterback, Tua Tagovailoa, following the Crimson Tide's win over Tennessee on Saturday night. "This morning our doctors only performed a successful tight procedure at his court". He says it's the same injury the 2018 Heisman Trophy runner-up suffered in the Southeastern Conference championship game last season, just to the other ankle. "Tua will miss next week's game against Arkansas, but we expect a full and speedy recovery".

Alabama will not need Tagovailoa to beat the snot from humble Arkansas next week.

Tagovailoa is the most important piece on the roster, so the status of his health will go a long way in determining if Alabama can make its way back into the College Football Playoff for the sixth consecutive season. Look for Jones to get a huge gaming experience on Saturday before Alabama starts his goodbye week for the huge match against the LSU Tigers in three weeks. Alabama has ruled Tagovailoa out for the rest of the game.
