India's squad for Test series against Bangladesh: Virat Kohli (Capt), Rohit Sharma, Mayank Agarwal, Cheteshwar Pujara, Ajinkya Rahane, Hanuma Vihari, Saha (wk), R Jadeja, R Ashwin, Kuldeep Yadav, Mohammed Shami, Umesh Yadav, Ishant Sharma, Shubman Gill, and Rishabh Pant.

"Sourav the cricketer is special, but for me Sourav the captain is very very special", he said. It was Union Minister Anurag Thakur, who put forth Ganguly's name in an informal meeting at the Trident in Mumbai.

He further clarified about India's future plan and said, "I made it very clear post the World Cup that we are moving on".

The new BCCI president will not impose it on the team and the feedback from Kohli and the team management will be given due weightage.

"It was really heartening to hear that Ganguly wants to start from home", said Sehwag in an interview to The Indian Express.

"I have been a hard person to handle as at times I am my own man and I do what I feel is right. He may not have had the best of matches but we are clear, we are focusing on him only", MSK Prasad stated after asserting the T20Is and Take a look at squads for Bangladesh collection.

"One thing I'm absolutely sure is that whatever time I'm here I will try and make a difference". At the top, if someone like Rohit finds his feet in Test cricket, and with a beast of run-maker like Virat to follow, what else can a team ask for? I'm not going to sit and spend my time for people to say that "I was the BCCI president". "If we can provide all of that, make the spectator really comfortable, then I think you will see a lot of people coming in to watch Test match cricket". "I want to be a "BCCI president who made a difference", so I'll try and do that".

India, under Ganguly, learned not only to compete against the best but also to not take things lying done. Even tough Nadeem picked up 400 wickets in his domestic, First-class cricket but after playing just 1 test he was dropped. That two and half months is no way inferior to the English Premier League. "I played on my own terms, led the team in my own style and would like to run the BCCI in a similar manner", the new BCCI boss said.

Speaking at a function organised by Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) in his honour, the former India captain said, "I am a big believer in day-and-night Tests".

Ravi Shastri, too, seemed to return the favour by welcoming the decision of appointing Ganguly as BCCI president.
