Patriots' Tom Brady eclipses Peyton Manning for second on passing yards list

"You can't, obviously, throw interceptions". And this doesn't seem to be some sort of reverse psychology.

On Thursday night, former New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski made his debut for FOX Sports.

NY managed to make Tom Brady uncomfortable for much of the game on a night in which he surpassed Peyton Manning for second on the NFL's all-time passing list. Tonight marks New England's only appearance on Thursday Night Football this season. "That's what I like".

And that he did.

Daniel Jones will have plenty to learn from in this one. He had pass breakups on the other four incompletions, one of which was picked off by linebacker John Simon.

"I'll just let my shirt speak for itself", Gurley said with a sly smile. "Just keep making plays".

The Giants struggled in the first quarter.

"Yeah, I guess he didn't know - or I don't know", Gilmore said.

"You've just gotta make adjustments", he said. I even love watching the game...

Jones will also be up against some recently unfavourable history for young quarterbacks when they match up with the Patriots. So, he came off of his assignment and picked off the pass. "They gave us a chance to win the game". He trusts the Patriots' safeties behind him, so he can go for the ball. While the former Duke QB wasn't necessarily bad against the Vikes, he also didn't do almost enough to help his team come through with the win. "It's not good. We'll just have to go back to the drawing board". And also trusting my teammates. "It makes my job easier because I've got guys around me that I trust, and I play fast from doing that".

Head coach Bill Belichick has his players on that side of the ball exceeding everyone's wildest expectations through five weeks of the regular season. He's also been putting together these types of performances throughout his three seasons with the Patriots.

"That's never a good sign when you're on the punt team, " he said.

Brady finished the game with 72,257 passing yards.

Star do-it-all running back Saquon Barkley - a team captain and the unquestioned best player for Big Blue - is unlikely to play this evening because of a high ankle sprain.
