The Nvidia Shield TV Pro has not officially been confirmed by Nvidia just yet, although according to 9TO5Google it is due to be shipped on 28 October, so an official announcement could be imminent.

Rumours that a new Nvidia Shield TV device is in the making have been swirling around for weeks.

The NVIDIA Shield TV is the most popular Android TV streaming box on the market, but it's long overdue for a hardware revamp.

Nvidia's compact Shield TV was listed on Newegg Canada at a price equivalent to US$150.

Bluetooth SIG 5.0 certification Indicates NVIDIA Shield 2019 Device (again) - 10/03/2019 09:53 AMOver the past year or so we've mentioned that NVIDIA might be working on a new Shield series.

While the upcoming Nvidia Shield TV Pro refresh was leaked on Amazon, a never-seen-before Nvidia Shield TV streaming stick has found its way online via NewEgg (all the details were gathered by 9to5Google before listings were taken down). NVIDIA even managed to cram in a microSD card slot!

The device comes with 3GB of RAM memory, but the listing does not specify the amount of internal storage. Other features include a full-sized HDMI 2.0 port, power port, hardware ethernet port, Bluetooth, and remote control. There are new dedicated buttons for play/pause, rewind, fast-forward, and actual volume buttons are replacing the touch-sensitive gesture panel of the old Shield TV. There is also a special Netflix button and in addition to the usual media control buttons. Also, it will not be more expensive than the current model, so you'll still be able to get it for $200.

There's support for Dolby Vision, Dolby Digital Plus surround sound, Dolby Atmos, and a feature that enables "AI upscaling" that will upscale your content to near-4K resolution in real time.
