Former NFL quarterback Brett Favre explained what that phrase meant during an interview with SiriusXM NFL radio.

Darnold has insisted the "seeing ghosts" comments that were picked up won't bother him and he's moving on from last week's 33-0 shutout.loss.

"I think we knew what was at stake when we were 2-4", said receiver D.J. Chark.

The Jacksonville Jaguars trolled Darnold Sunday by dressing up their mascot, Jackson de Ville, as a ghost.

A plane circled the stadium pulling a huge banner that read: "Gardner Minshew ain't afraid of no ghost".

And during the the game, the Jags cut a montage of bad plays from Darnold, set it to the "Ghostbusters" theme and played it on the jumbotron during a break in the action. "I just have to continue to practice hard and get better". "When I started watching Jacksonville film, I was over it".

The sophomore quarterback threw four interceptions versus the Patriots, and he threw another three against the Jaguars defense in Week 8.

Darnold completed 21-30 passes for 218 yards during the Jets 29-15 loss against the Jaguars on Sunday. He was sacked eight times.

The Jets are now 1-5 on the year and likely know they have no shot of turning this season around and qualifying for the postseason.

As such, the team has apparently elected to be a buyer, rather than a seller, as they're reportedly in the mix for a player on the trade block.
