‘Jesus shoes’ with holy water in soles sell out in minutes

Have you ever wondered what it feels like to 'walk on water?' A one of its kind limited-edition holy water-filled sneakers went out of stock within a few minutes and that too at a colossal price of United States dollars 3,000.

Nike shoes with actual holy water in the soles are going for as much as $3,000 a pop, and sold out in mere minutes when they dropped Tuesday morning.

Moreover, the shoes also flaunt the Bible verse Matthew 14:25, which describes Jesus walking on water, according to a Fox news report.

Other features of the shoe include frankincense-scented insoles, a crucifix threaded through the laces, and a red sole, which references the red shoes traditionally worn by past Popes.

In fact, despite Greenberg confirming that MSCHF purchased the original sneakers at retail value, and did not receive them from Nike, many Twitter users blasted the sportswear company, with one even accusing it of "worshiping the devil".

"So we wanted to make a statement about how absurd collab culture has gotten".

According to the brand's website, the shoe contains 60 cubic centimeters of holy water sourced directly from the River Jordan.

A pair of shoes which have been dubbed a "collaboration" with Jesus Christ have sold out within minutes of dropping online.

Honestly, I'm not quite sure if the shoes are meant to be targeting religious people, sneaker heads or just anyone who is willing to spend over $1000 on a pair of sneakers, but apparently whatever they're doing is working because they sold out.

MSCHF told Yahoo new products and concepts will come out every second and fourth Tuesday each month.
