Video Game journalist Ryan Brown shared the discovery via Twitter, directing his followers' eyes towards the portion of the cover that features Gigantamax renditions of Pokemon including Eevee, Pikachu, Charizard, and, of course, "Looooooong Meowth".

Many trainers will be satisfied with the new Gigantamax information but there are some who are desperate to hear more about the Galar region's starter Pokemon.

The G-Max moves each Pokemon gains essentially takes an already-existing move in the Pokemon world and makes it more powerful with a different name. There was a report by Pokemon fansite Serebii that the download cards for the game have begun appearing in stores in Japan and with that, they reveal the games' file size as well as reveal that more Pokemon are returning. For example, Pikachu has G-Max Volt Crash, which can paralyze all opponents on the battlefield at once. This stretched-out version of Meowth is available through January 15, 2020. Gigantamax Pikachu can be unlocked when with save data from Pokémon Let's Go, Pikachu! on Switch, while you can get a hold of a Gigantamax Eevee using save data for Pokémon Let's Go, Eevee!

Then there's Gigantamax Eevee, which comes with a new move called G-max cuddle. Similarly, you get this Pokemon by using your play records in Pokemon: Let's Go Eevee.

Gigantamax Charizard looks incredible. Prepare for their onslaught of G-Max Befuddle, which causes poison, paralysis, or asleep status upon contact.

The Pokémon Sword and Shield titles hit shelves on November 15, 2019.
