Florida Gators Bounce Back to Defeat South Carolina

But like a year ago, when Florida rallied from 31-14 down to defeat the Gamecocks 35-31, SC could not hold.

The Gators' latest win was not without controversy, however.

Florida scored two touchdowns on plays in which SEC officials appeared to miss penalties against the Gators.

After the Gamecocks took a 17-10 lead early in the third quarter on a 21-yard touchdown run by transfer tailback Tavian Feaster, the Gators answered immediately with a 75-yard touchdown run from tailback Dameon Pearce.

This season, the identity of Florida's offense is very much in Trask's hands.

"We found our identity and started making plays", he said. That was the first 300+ yard effort for Trask this season.

Following a tough loss to South Carolina, ESPN's Football Power Index re-worked their projections for Georgia's remaining 2019 schedule.

SC heads to Tennessee on Saturday. He was angrier still the flag was thrown far from where he stood, saying it was a "gutless" move.

When a reporter asked Muschamp about the officiating again, he replied: "I'm not going to comment about anything else".

You can bet that Florida is not overlooking SC after their previous two performances. Even without senior tailback Rico Dowdle - who left in the first quarter with a leg injury - the Gamecocks were ramming the ball down Florida's throat. He then helped the Gators (7-1, 4-1 Southeastern Conference ) avoid a second straight loss after falling at No. 2 LSU 42-28 last week. Don't go 40 yards away and drop a flag. He missed the past two games and a bye week.
