Prices for the new iPhone 11 have been released through Apple's site, with StarHub the only Singaporean telco to also release pricing at the time of writing. The new Watch Series 5, iPad and Apple Arcade were amongst the other news that Tim Cook very enthusiastically took the stage to announce. Set to be released on September 19, this updated operating system will compliment the rollout of the iPhone 11's "powerful" new features and photography capabilities. Unfortunately (and predictably enough), there are no surprises in terms of AppleCare+ rates, as the "standard" iPhone 11 joins the XR, 8 Plus, and 7 Plus in the $149 club, whereas the 11 Pro and 11 Pro Max are added to the $199 group alongside the similarly high-end iPhone XS, XS Max, and X models from the past couple of years.

Yesterday, Apple launched the brand new iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, and iPhone 11 Pro Max at an event held in the company's Steve Jobs Theatre in Cupertino, California, and we now have the India pricing for these iPhones. Both models look similar to their predecessors, except for the fact that they are now featuring three cameras on the back, in a square arrangement, opposed to the two units on last year's models.

As device sales have fallen in recent years, Apple has placed more of an emphasis on new services such as Apple TV+, the company's answer to streaming platforms such as Netflix and Hulu. "I think Apple realised that iPhone XR was pricey as the price adjustments in Q2 led to a surge in sales for iPhone XR", said Tarun Pathak, Associate Director, Counterpoint Research. But this time around, the iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Max offer a bigger step up from the last generation.

When it came to features, one of the main draws of the new launch for US buyers - a $5 per month Netflix-like streaming service - will not be available in China.

The new Apple Watch Series 5 (starting at $399) maintains the look of the Series 4 released previous year, but adds a new always-on display, as well as a few new health-oriented features, along with the ability to make global emergency calls and orient yourself using the integrated compass feature.

The subscription based video streaming service AppleTv+, which costs $4.99 per month, is also going to be available free for one year with new iPhone models. Apple has taken a shift here in terms of product focus and wants users to subscribe to content,"says Faisal Kawoosa, founder and chief analyst, techARC".

Three iPhone 11 models were unveiled by Apple on Tuesday.

Given that the new iPhones have some incremental upgrades to processor and camera technology, consumers who bought iPhones in the past one-two years may not have the appetite to upgrade immediately.

Apple opened by discussing Apple TV+, its original streaming video subscription service, and Apple Arcade, its game subscription service.
