Florida Workplace Stabbing Leaves 5 Injured; Suspect in Custody: Authorities

Hospital spokeswoman Danielle Buchanan says one victim is in serious condition, two are in fair condition and another two are in good condition.

Police say there were no pending employment issues with Brown at Dyke Industries.

It was not immediately clear if the suspect is an employee, Tallahassee police spokesman Damon Miller said.

Authorities are on scene after multiple people were reportedly stabbed near Maryland Circle in Tallahassee.

Upon officer's arrival, they discovered five stabbing victims and provided immediate medical attention. Police claim he clocked in at 8 a.m. local time.

Five people were stabbed at a workplace in Tallahassee on the morning of September 11.

The hospital originally reported that six people were being treated for injuries, but later clarified it had only received five patients from the incident.

Interim Police Chief Steve Outlaw said at a news conference that co-workers fought off the knife-wielding attacker with objects in the office. It was unclear Wednesday morning if there were any fatalities in the attack. Brown clocked in on Wednesday morning, but was asked to clock out after "a dispute".

Dyke Industries, a building business that produces doors, millwork, and windows, has 15 locations across the Southeast and Midwest, including Miami.
