The best chicken sandwich debate has heated up! Both sandwiches are similar and they both offer fried chicken and pickles.

The sandwich features the chain's New Orleans-style friend chicken on a brioche bun paired with pickles.

Chick-fil-A tweeted Monday a seemingly simple message about their no-frills recipe for success that has acted as a catalyst for the next great Twitter food fight.

Popeyes responded by tweeting the question, "Ya'll good?"

Customers have two options to choose from: Original and spicy. Over the years, Chick-Fil-A, although controversial, has been in the lead when it comes to chicken. In an era where literally everything and anything can get canceled in a heartbeat, even their CEO's anti-LGBTQ stance hasn't prevented many people who believe in equal rights to fall back on Chick-Fil-A.

A couple other fast food chains, including Shake Shack and Bojangles', tried to make a claim for their sandwich but were immediately shut down by some Twitter users.

Of course, Wendy's chose to jump in on the action, asking why the two companies were fighting over who had the "second best chicken sandwich".
