Christie Brinkley, country star Lauren Alaina, James Van Der Beek, and National Football League favourite Ray Lewis will also be showing off their moves.

The dance competition series is entering its 28th (!) season, and ABC announced the stars who will be competing. Exhibit A: the many harsh replies to his tweet celebrating the announcement.

Spicer, who resigned as President Donald Trump's press secretary in July 2017, said: "I was kicked out of band in sixth grade and the quote was "You have the sense of beat of a steamroller". He explored his White House role in detail in his 2018 book "The Briefing", which was widely panned by critics.

The Bachelorette star Hannah Brown, Queer Eye culture expert Karamo Brown, singer Lauren Alaina, former Fifth Harmony member Ally Brooke, former American football player Ray Lewis and comedian Kel Mitchell of Kenan & Kel fame complete the line-up.

When asked about her past many wardrobe malfunctions as The Office's Meredith, Flannery said, "OK, this is the deal: I had nine seasons as the most unglamorous character on TV". Spicer's other foray into the entertainment world unfolded during his White House run when he was portrayed several times on "Saturday Night Live" by Melissa McCarthy - whose work got far better reviews.
