The upcoming Redmi TV with the slightly smaller display is likely to be cheaper than that.

Xiaomi now sells a host of TV in the Chinese market where it is now the market leader. While this is not a very assuring response, we do expect at least a teaser of the Redmi Note 8 series even if is not launched at the event.

Xiaomi is expected to soon launch its flagship smartphone Redmi 8, which is evident from a listing in a certification website TENNA.

Meanwhile, the launch of Xiaomi's 64 MP phone Redmi 8 Pro is awaited. While the leak does seem to suggest that it will be eventually launched as the Redmi 8A, it isn't immediately possible to confirm the veracity of the report, so do take it with a pinch of salt for now. Besides the audio jack, we can find a USB Type-C charging port along with a speaker grill beside that.

What are your thoughts on this Redmi handset, Do you think that this is the Redmi 8 or some other smartphone? Could Redmi Note 8 be that phone? So it looks set to consolidating that position with the arrival of the RedmiTV since Redmi's products are all about value. This hints that alongside the smart TV and the Note 8 series, Xiaomi might also throw some light on its upcoming MIUI 11 Android skin.

Xiaomi has been projecting the OS as a "unique OS" and has been very quiet about it so far.

"We do not have details of the RedmiTV, though the firm confirmed that its first TV will bear a large 70" screen, while there are indications it will be a 4K TV with HDR support, Patchwall UI, Dolby + DTS audio and support for Bluetooth Voice Remote.
