Priyanka Chopra joins Netflix's 'We Can Be Heroes'

Chopra - who married Nick Jonas last December - should have more time for movie roles after she waved goodbye to her "Quantico" alter-ego Alex Parrish.

Notably, under her Purple Pebble Pictures banner, Priyanka Chopra Jonas has produced several acclaimed films including Paani, Ventilator, Pahuna: The Little Visitors and Firebrand. Talking about the film, the digital platform described, "The film is about how a group of kids steps up to save the world when aliens abduct all of Earth's superheroes".

Rodriguez is best known for directing "Alita: Battle Angel" and for creating and directing the "Spy Kids" films in the early years of the 2000s.

Now the actress has bagged yet another Hollywood movie, as she has been signed to play a key role in the movie We can be Heroes. Bosses at the streaming service have confirmed the project is now shooting in Texas.

On the film side, she will also produce and star in an untitled wedding comedy set in India, co-produced by Mindy Kaling and Dan Goor for Universal.

Chopra joins a large ensemble cast that includes Christian Slater, YaYa Gosselin, Akira Akbar, Andrew Diaz, Andy Walken, Boyd Holbrook, Hala Finley, Isaiah Russell-Bailey, Lotus Blossom, Lyon Daniels, Nathan Blair, Sung Kang, Vivien Lyra Blair, Adriana Barraza, Christopher McDonald and Pedro Pascal.

The film is based on the life of motivational speaker and author Aisha Chaudhary who died at the age of 16 after suffering from pulmonary fibrosis.
