No Man's Sky was hyped beyond belief before it came out, and then it landed with a thud right out of the gate.

Hello Games has sent out an wonderful new trailer for No Man's Sky.

Without a doubt, the most exciting reveal in this trailer is the ability to ride many (maybe even all) of the animals native to the planets that we're exploring.

Players with the proper gear can experience everything they see in the launch trailer in virtual reality. I mean.No Man's Sky was always weird, but this is pretty freakish even for the space sim.

No Man's Sky Beyond aims to bring a huge range of features together into a cohesive whole, with expanded online, virtual reality and hundreds of changes big and small. Sure, [No Man's Sky] is hitting maybe more of the Star Wars-y type elements than 2001, but those things can exist in the same universe. Sean Murray also jumped on the PlayStation Blog to give us a little tidbit on the goal of The Nexus.

The latest trailer for No Man's Sky Beyond shows a very busy world indeed, and gives a glimpse of the Nexus, a social space that lets you show off your ship and suit to other players. It'll also allow you to meet up with friends, or join forces with complete strangers, and explore the Universe. Or if the moment calls for it, players can show off their rare spacesuits or display their spacecraft they've spent so many hours fine-tuning. "Progression in No Man's Sky is so much more meaningful when you can share it with other explorers and so much more engaging when any creations or missions become shareable", Murray continued. Endless space-faring adventures at home and on the go certainly make for an enticing prospect. Players have previously been able to interact with creatures and collect their poop (you know, for science), so this seems like the logical next step.

We hope you enjoy this and what follows - and we look forward to meeting you out there!
