The first trailer for Greta Gerwig's highly anticipated adaptation of Little Women is here, and everyone is just so excited about these insanely tiny ladies! The first trailer for the film is now online.

Louisa May Alcott's Little Women is one of those classic stories that filmmakers just can't stop adapting for screens both big and small. The movie centers around the March sisters, four young women who are determined to live life on their own terms. Judging by the trailer, it will be be a gorgeous and sparkling gem of a film, full of the heart and fire that has made the book beloved by readers. "And they've got ambition and talent as well as just beauty". It's the story of Jo and her three sisters - Meg, Beth and Amy (Emma Watson, Eliza Scanlon and Florence Pugh) - on their journey to womanhood in the aftermath of the Civil War, guided by their Marmee (Laura Dern).

It's one of American literature's best-loved novels, and now Little Women is getting its eighth, yes eighth, film adaptation.

"Make it short and spicy", an editor advises.

The 25-year-old reunites with Ladybird director Greta Gerwig - under whom she earned her third Oscar nomination - alongside a starry cast, including some of Hollywood's most revered actors and an equally impressive roster of rising stars.

As old-fashioned a tale as Little Women is, there's something wonderfully timeless about the four strong-willed sisters who only have each other at the height of wartorn America.

Both Saoirse and Timothée starred in Lady Bird together, also directed by Gerwig, as love interests.
