Real Madrid may have won their first La Liga game of the new season against Celta Vigo, but their star performer from that match has a bone to pick with the club.

And former Chelsea stopper Courtois has now given his thoughts on his team-mate's performance, in which he set up the opening goal for Karim Benzema.

The hosts could not make the most of the extra man as Germany global midfielder Kroos doubled Madrid's lead five minutes later with an unstoppable strike, while substitute Lucas Vazquez added a third in the 80th after a pass from Benzema.

When new arrival Eden Hazard was ruled out for three weeks after picking up a muscle problem on Friday, it again boosted Bale's chances of playing.

"He is going to stay", said Zidane, who last month was outspoken about Bale's transfer being good for everyone.

"We have to focus on this season and nothing else".

The Real manager commented on Bale's situation in his press conference yesterday, as quoted in L'Equipe.

"Eden's injury was bad luck for us", Zidane said.

As many as five Real Madrid players now make more money than Benzema, and the striker clearly wants to change that. "He has his place, he is an important player and I hope that all the players will try to complicate the task at the time of composing the team". We're training and we know that we have the game to play, they could change things and we will wait until the last minute.

"We were effective. I am happy with what I have seen". They next play host to Real Valladolid on Saturday. "We leave with a good feeling".

"We worked hard in pre-season but results didn't go our way for different reasons, but the season starts with the first game, not before".

Real Madrid will make a late attempt to sign Paul Pogba this summer, and test the players relationship with Manchester United ahead of the closure of the European transfer window.
