Enter the 2019 iPhone 11 models, and today another report confirms that they will ship with a USB-C charger as well as a Lightning to USB-C cable in the box.

Apple may finally start packaging its flagship iPhones with USB-C power adapters starting this year, according to a rumor by ChargerLab. It is listed as "Leather iPhone 11 Pro Case & Apple Pencil Holder". This has not only enabled fast charging feature using power delivery method, but also lets users connect devices like USB thumb drives for data transfer. It may happen this time, but with a twist. Last year, the company came up with cases for the supposed iPhone SE 2, a model which did not show up during the September launch of new iPhones. This does not necessarily mean that Apple will do away with the Lightning port.

Based on the report, the sleeve is much smaller in size to accommodate existing Apple Pencils that were made specifically for the iPad and the iPad Pro.

It's worth noting that ChargerLab has a very hit-or-miss track record when it comes to predicting Apple's moves.

One possibility is that the iPhone itself wont actually have a USB-C port, but the charger and cable would be updated to a USB-C to Lightning cable. And the competitors such as OnePlus 7 Pro, Huawei Mate 20 Pro and P30 Pro smartphones come with fast charging capabilities up to 40W.
