He's back at the top again! Robert Downey Jr. gets $20 million upfront and almost 8% of the pool for his role as Iron Man, and that amounted to about $55 million for his work in Avengers: Endgame, which grossed $2.796 billion at the box office.

Dwayne Johnson has had one astoundingly good year.

The Fast And Furious actor, 47, elbowed out several Marvel stars to reclaim the top spot in Forbes' annual list.

Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson just tied the knot, his movie Hobbs & Shaw has made $437m at the box worlwide and now he has reclaimed his position as the world's highest-paid actor, according to a Forbes rich list otherwise dominated by the cast of Marvel's record-breaking Avengers films.

The list covers the period June 2018 to June 2019, during which Marvel Studios released 'Avengers: Endgame, ' the highest-grossing film of all time.

The now former Iron Man star was himself just ahead of Indian star Akshay Kumar, who made $53.6 million.

Behind them, the top five is rounded out by Bollywood star Akshay Kumar ($65 million) and Jackie Chan ($58 million), whose acting profits are augmented by his own line of movie theaters.

As per Forbes, the 51-year-old actor draws in at least $5 million and up to $10 million per film, in addition to the millions he mints from his over 20 endorsement deals.

Will Smith rounded-off the list with earnings of nearly $28.9 million.

Last year's top earner, George Clooney, dropped out of the top 10.
