'Watchmen' Returns in New Comic-Con Trailer

The new trailer video checks in at around three minutes in length but doesn't disappoint.

Regina King takes center stage in the new trailer unveiled Saturday at San Diego Comic-Con as she joins a motley crew of superheroes engaged in a violent revolt against the town's leaders who are set on taking them down.

After a teaser earlier this year, HBO has shared the first full-length trailer for its upcoming Watchmen series.

The scene is from a movie about the Minutemen, the vigilante group formed in the 1940s that predated the Watchmen. Jeremy Irons stars as an older version of Adrian Veidt aka Ozymandias who was a big part of the original Watchmen movie. Watchmen is set in a dystopian contemporary United States in which violent vigilantes are outlawed. (Hap and Leonard), Tim Blake Nelson (Colossal), Adelaide Clemens (Rectify), Andrew Howard (Bates Motel), Frances Fisher (Masters of Sex), Jacob Ming-Trent (White Famous), Yahya Abdul-Mateen II (The Handmaid's Tale), Sara Vickers (The Crown), Tom Mison (Sleepy Hollow), Jean Smart (Fargo) as a mysterious Federal Bureau of Investigation agent, and James Wolk (Zoo, Tell Me a Story).
