This is Durst's first full-length feature since 2008's The Longshots.

John Travolta as Moose in the upcoming Fred Durst-directed horror film, 'The Fanatic, ' which is set for an August 30, 2019, release. "Listen, pal, I don't know how you found me, but I don't ever want to see you in this neighborhood again".

"There's John Travolta - Oscar nominee and Emmy victor John Travolta! - in a dazzling Hawaiian shirt and bright white shoes, upset that he didn't score an autograph from an author played by Devon Sawa (!)".

The trailer for Tribeca Film Festival award-winning director Fred Durst's anticipated new film The Fanatic, starring John Travolta as an obsessive fan who stalks an action movie star, is here. Watch The Fanatic trailer below. Travolta certainly nails the weird-looking, creepy stalker part and the movie seems decently acted and directed. To be fair, if I was judging this in isolation I wouldn't say this looks that bad. That's too good to miss, folks.

The film follows Travolta's character "Moose", a man who is obsessed with celebrity "Hunter Dunbar", played by Devon Sawa.

Moose resorts to a few desperate measures to get his personalized autograph - like asking a well-connected paparazzi photographer for Hunter's personal address, which he gets.

"Moose turns to stalking to get the celebrity interaction he feels he deserves, and while harmless at first, Moose's actions begin to take a dark turn as his obsession grows stronger", reads the synopsis.

The Fanatic, also starring Ana Golja, Jacob Grodnik and James Paxton, will start its limited U.S. release and be released on VOD on August 30.
