During a wide-ranging Forbes interview, West talked about working with a design team to craft prefab housing based on George Lucas' vision for the Star Wars franchise.

Movie buffs may remember the "Star Wars" character Luke Skywalker's (Mark Hamill) home world of Tatooine that has some distinct looking houses.

Featured on a Forbes daily cover, the magazine highlights Kanye West's financial, creative and musical growth.

Kanye West and Kim Kardashian West attend the opening night of the new musical "The Cher Show" on Broadway at Neil Simon Theatre on December 03, 2018 in New York City.

In the story, the rapper and fashion creator, takes writer Zach O'Malley Greenburg on a tour of 'oblong and dozens of feet tall' prototypes.

Already, West is pursuing investors for mass production with the objective of using the designs as, "living spaces for the homeless, perhaps sunk into the ground with light filtering in through the top".

Since then, he has teamed with Vervoordt to design the strikingly minimalist house he shares with Kim Kardashian and announced the creation of Yeezy Home-an architecture firm that would serve high-concept housing to low-income families-was teased in May of a year ago.

Fans first got a glimpse into the formerly very private retreat when West shared images of the interior of the home on Twitter in April 2018 - which had Kardashian scolding her husband for showing their home on social media, later clarifying that she was only joking. Which is a stunning turnaround from three years ago, when in late 2016, West found himself begging Mark Zuckerberg to invest a billion dollars in his ideas after claiming to be $53 million in debt.
