The feature will be available on Android devices for YouTube Music Premium subscribers.

When you're listening to YouTube Music, the songs that you click the like button on will now be automatically downloaded with the Smart Downloads feature.

What if you think 500 songs is overkill and your phone is low on storage?

In the event that you've utilized YouTube Music, you are presumably mindful of the administration's fantastically helpful "Disconnected Mixtape" include that naturally downloads a client indicated number of melodies dependent on the sort of music you like and tune in to the most on the administration, and now, YouTube Music is enhancing this with another element called 'Shrewd Downloads'. Other apps including Netflix are also moving into this lane; Netflix's smart downloads can now save the next episode of whatever you're watching so it's ready to go right away, and it'll automatically delete episodes you've already finished.

Lately, YouTube has been testing several new features to help users to engage better with the platform. The first 100 tracks downloaded by Smart Downloads will be from the preexisting Offline Mixtape, a playlist based on a user's listening history. However, it isn't immediately clear how this feature will look or work when it is live.

"One thing we've consistently heard from you is that you want more control over what videos appear on your home page and in Up Next suggestions".

Earlier in May, between YouTube Music and Google Play Music, Google crossed the 15 million global subscribers mark.

Now, if only we could get YouTube Music to hurry up and migrate over user uploads and playlists from Google Play Music.

Google gave The Verge a description, naming a list that included "Offline Mixtape, Pop Hotlist, Summer 2019 playlist, Kacey Musgraves album", as an example.
