It's safe to say the internet went into meltdown yesterday when Mel B made the announcement that the Spice Girls would be making their way Down Under in February next year.

Speaking on Breakfast with Grant, Ed & Ash this morning, Scary Spice herself said "my thing is, and I have a bee in my bonnet about it, is that we need to come to Australia first".

"I figured if I put it out there then maybe it's going to happen".

She said the tour in London did happen after years of putting the idea out there, "so I figured, Australia in February sounds pretty good to me". "But I will make sure it actually does it happen", she added.

"Should a Spice Girls tour of Australia be announced, Ticketek expects strong demand for tickets", she said.

THE Spice Girls' tour had one Adele of a finale - despite Victoria Beckham breaking her promise to be there.

While we're all a low key mad at Mel B for getting our hopes up, Scary Spice is still fighting to perform in don't feel completely deceived.

After singing Spice Up Your Life, Mark Feehily, 39, said: 'We love the Spice Girls.

Meanwhile, it was recently reported that Mel B has held talks about fronting her own TV chat show. "Tonight with my nearest and dearest i cried, laughed, screamed, danced, reminisced and fell back in love with my 10 year old self", Adele wrote on Instagram. "I'm sorry for leaving".

Geri apologised to her bandmates and the group's fans for quitting in 1998. Yes, I did. And was it because of Emma Lee Bunton from the Spice Girls?

She expressed a desire to bring the group to Australia when asked by both The Project and Sunrise late a year ago. "I'm just gonna say "yes", but I gotta check with my other girls first".

Mel B's announcement wasn't the only surprise. "Thirteen stadiums. nearly 70,000 people, with three fantastic women I've shared that stage with", she said.
