Shahid Kapoor`s `Kabir Singh` crosses Rs 100 crore mark-Check out collections

Cases have been filed against the movie and it has been termed misogynystic at more than one occasion.

The movie has set a benchmark even when reaching Rs. 100 crore mark. Kabir Singh has also surpassed Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Padmaavat to become Shahid's biggest-ever opener.


Let us tell you that Shahid Kapoor starrer Kabir Singh has collected around 100 crores in just five opening days.

Noted film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to Twitter and shared the latest collections. "He wrote, "#KabirSingh cruises past ₹ (100) cr.


Censor board member Vani Tripathi Tikoo has blasted Kabir Singh's team for glorifying violence against women, labeling the film as "terribly misogynistic". The film has beaten all records of previous Shahid Kapoor starrers by huge distances and is already his highest solo grosser. Eyes ₹ 130 cr+ total in Week 1.

Kabir Singh is an official remake of Telugu superhit film Arjun Reddy and has made under the same director Sandeep Reddy Vanga. Kabir Singh earned Rs 20.21 crore at the box-office on Friday, followed by Rs 22.71 crore on Saturday, Rs 27.91 crore on Sunday and Rs 17.54 crore on Monday. The movie released at a time when Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif and Sunil Grover starrer Bharat's business was slowing down and Chris Hemsworth-Tessa Thompson's Men In Black: International and Taapsee Pannu's Game Over created some magic for a few days. Shahid's performance has been lauded in the film and fans can't stop praising their favourite actor.
