Manchester United goalkeeper coach Emilio Alvarez has defended the form of David De Gea.

ESPN go on to suggest that the lack of Champions League football at Old Trafford next season will not prove detrimental in United's hopes of finding a deal for Oblak, with the 26-year-old keen to test his abilities in the Premier League.

Borussia Dortmund are also understood to be sniffing around, although they would be outsiders in the race for his signature.

United have been heavily linked with the goalkeeper in recent months as speculation continues to surround David de Gea's future at Old Trafford.

Importantly, the report claims that the 'keeper is particularly flustered at the club's lack of efforts to replace Griezmann.

Back in April, ESPN revealed that the Old Trafford club were looking to activate the player's release clause of 120 million euros.

According to the same story, Manchester United are reluctant to allow De Gea to run down the remaining months on his Manchester United contract and leave on a free transfer in 2020.

According to The Sun, United have been impressed by Onana's season, with the 23 year-old leading Ajax to the Champions League semi-final.

It's also thought that Barcelona goalkeeper Jasper Cillesen has been made available to United.

"I will stay at Atletico as long as their ambitions match mine", he said.

"And some people might think their ambitions have lowered, as big players have left".

"If De Gea played for one of the Spanish clubs, I'm sure that he would've had more support in certain moments", he said.

De Gea's contract expires next year but he has been unable to come to terms with the club over a new deal so far.

PSG are also reportedly in the running for Oblak's signature, as the Slovenia worldwide weighs up his options.
