Father’s Day weekend will have some showers

Overnight temperatures will drop into the upper 60s and lower 70s under partly cloudy skies. Winds have been a little on the breezy side, with gusts out of the south up to 35mph at times.

An line of strong storms continues to march into Arkansas early this morning.

Sunday morning should be sunny, but clouds and scattered showers move in during the afternoon and evening as temperatures climb to near 17°C. There also is of course a lighting and locally heavy rain threat as well so stay weather aware if you have outdoor plans this evening and seek shelter if storms are approaching (again most spots will remain dry).

Monday: Showers and a few thunderstorms, high temperatures will struggle to reach the lower 80s. Any storms that develop in the afternoon could have some hail and high winds with them.

Sunday should be a great day around the region with plenty of sun and highs in the low 80s. Showers and storms return after noontime with precipitation possible until midnight.

Mostly cloudy with more widely scattered showers and perhaps a storm Tuesday, highs in the mid 70s. Think in general low 80s to begin the week before we warm into the upper 80s toward the end of the week with a warmer airmass moving in place.
