Eight UVa Children's Hospital specialties ranked among the nation's best

Cleveland Clinic Children's and University Hospitals Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital are getting top marks by U.S. News & World Reports Best Children's Hospitals annual rankings.

UVa pediatric's chair, Dr. James Nataro, says they have now in the last two years doubled UVa's number among the 10 categories the publication ranks. "I am so thankful for our team's dedication to providing excellent care for our patients".

Special accolades continued to roll in when the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute/Boston Children's Cancer and Blood Disorders Center was named the top pediatric cancer center in the country.

The Best Children's Hospitals methodology factors objective measures such as patient outcomes, including mortality and infection rates, as well as available clinical resources and compliance with best practices.

Boston's Children's Hospital has had an immeasurable impact on children and their families for years.
