One player who will be turning out for Barcelona next season is Neymar's compatriot Neto.

Neymar wants to rejoin Barcelona but no talks have taken place with Paris Saint-Germain, according to the LaLiga club's vice president.

Following reports that the Brazil attacker is keen on the move, Cardoner said at a press conference on Thursday: "From what I have read, and it seems as though it is the case, Neymar wants to return to Barcelona".

However, since making the switch to France, Neymar hasn't exactly had the best of times.

Neymar played for Barcelona from 2013 to 2017 and moved to PSG for 222 million euros.

Despite reports claiming Neymar is ready to take a pay-cut in order to complete a transfer, the two clubs are yet to reach an agreement.

"It is correct to say that Neymar wants to return to Barcelona, but the issue is not on the table", Cardoner said, as quoted by Marca.

Having moved to Paris in a blockbuster world-record transfer two years ago, worth an enormous €222m, his days are now numbered as the Blaugrana explore the multitude of different options available to bring the 27-year-old back to the Camp Nou. We have not kept in touch with him.

Cardoner also admitted the manner in which Neymar departed Barcelona left a bad taste in his mouth.

"Actually it is an operation that we have not addressed, we do not know if it will come to fruition".

"But it's true that Neymar wants to go back to Barcelona".

"There are things that I still do not understand about the departure of Neymar from Barça". There are others that left and came back, like Cesc [Fabregas].

"Neymar is a great player, but the circumstances of how he left also have to be evaluated to see if this can become a reality".

The sales started this week with the departures of Andre Gomes, Jasper Cillessen and Marc Cardona, while goalkeeper Neto has joined from Valencia.
