DC Universe Online will be the first MMO for the Switch in the west. Japan already has Dragon Quest X and Phantasy Star Online.

DC Universe Online, the DC based on the characters of the DC and developed by Daybreak Game Company, has been announced for Nintendo Switch: the game will be released during the summer.

Originally launching back in 2011, this free-to-play MMO game has players creating their own unique character who buddies up with and fights against stars from the DC world. New Super Mario Bros. If this sounds interesting, be sure to watch the new trailer down below. However, under the product information section, we can see that the game has a release date for September 28, 2019. That essentially saves you $10 on the membership, which generally sells for $20.

Although it will be free-to-play, Daybreak didn't mention whether you'll need an active Nintendo Switch Online subscription in order to access DCUO. However, we suggest checking prices for the games you want elsewhere first, as you can find many Nintendo games for cheaper at other retailers. For example, both Pokemon Let's Go games are selling for $44 each at Amazon, but Nintendo still has them listed at $60. And if you live in the U.S., you may have a three-day weekend ahead of you due to Memorial Day, which means even more time for gaming-so we're here to let you know about all the best deals.

Some links to supporting retailers are automatically made into affiliate links, and GameSpot may receive a small share of those sales.
