Dauntless will officially launch on PS4, Xbox One, and PC (Epic Games Store) starting May 21, 2019, and on Nintendo Switch and mobile devices later in 2019.

PC players have been able to play Dauntless for a while now, with the game entering an open beta phase around this time previous year, but next week will be the first time that Dauntless is available on consoles.

The Mastery System - A new way for Slayers to hone their skills, earn experience, unlock achievements, and acquire new rewards. Dauntless, which now has an estimated player base of 3 million, is expected to triple after its official release on the Epic Games Store. These courageous warriors fight for humanity's survival against ferocious beasts known as Behemoths, whose savage hunger to drain the very essence, or aether, from the world puts every life at risk.

To celebrate, Phoenix Labs is releasing the new Hunt Pass Season 5: Hidden Blades which offers up new gear and content as the in-game world is transformed into a Moon Blossom Festival. The pass costs $10 and features 50 levels players can work through that reward cosmetics and premium currency. Play together with millions of players, face arduous cooperative battles, create weapons lethal, powerful armor and forge your legend as Rlayer Slayer. Everything from questing and crafting to meeting other Slayers and pursuing Behemoths has received massive updates. As a reminder Dauntless is free-to-play and will support itself on a microtransaction system that leans toward cosmetics (fine for a F2P joint) and boosts (which I'm not so insane about if this system is expanded).

Announced back in the tail-end of 2016, it seemed like Dauntless would be relegated to early access for ages, but it finally has a release date: May 21. Look forward to regular updates, seasonal events, new Behemoths, and more in a rich, evolving world.
