Since Britney Spears postponed her Las Vegas "Domination" residency previous year, fans have been wondering when the iconic pop star will return to the stage - but an interview with her manager now suggests that time may never come.

The 37 year-old McComb, Mississipi born singer is not in mental or physical shape to resume rehearsals for the series of line up shows which were suppose to kick off in February 2019, according to TMZ, .

The source was referring to Rudolph's recent comments to TMZ where he stated, "From what I have gathered, it's clear to me she should not be going back to do this Vegas residency, not in the near future and possibly never again".

The 55 year-old NY born divorced father of three said Britney was 2/3 of the way through rehearsals for the reboot when her father, James Spears got ill in 2018.

The source says that Spears "loves to perform" and it "would be devastating" if she didn't have the opportunity to take the stage again.

Rudolph, alluding to the singer's history of psychiatric issues, which has kept her under a conservatorship since 2008, said, "It was the ideal storm".

The "Piece of Me" singer confirmed she was on a work hiatus amid father's illness.

As far as her music is concerned, Spears is still signed to RCA Records and "at some point, she'll record again", says Rudolph. If that time never comes again, it will never come again.

Britney Spears' life has been complicated lately.

"Mr. Lutfi's actions have caused severe mental trauma at a time where Ms. Spears is recovering from stress related to her father's health and her work", the documents state.

"I am only here for her when she wants to work". "I understand how much these fans love her and support her and I love that. She was excited", Rudolph said.

It is unknown what was said during last Friday's court hearing, though the judge reportedly ordered Spears to undergo a 730 expert evaluation, a competence examination typically given to children in divorce cases.

Spears on April 3 had posted on Instagram that she was taking "a little "me time", with TMZ that day saying she had checked herself into a mental-health facility for at least 30 days.

Her health obviously has to come first.

"I have no desire or ability to make her work again", he confessed. Personally, I want for her to just find a peaceful, happy place - whatever that means for her.

Rudolph shared that he has been receiving information about Spears' current medical condition on a "need-to-know basis" and that is how he is determining her career plans.
