The MCU film, which was a befitting tribute to all our favourite comic characters shattered several records at the ticket windows and is currently now the second-highest grossing film of all-time after James Cameron's Avatar.

Cameron, who directed two of the five movie with a global cume over $2 billion, saluted Kevin Feige and Marvel Studios' achievement on Twitter.

Stick around after the movie if you're going this weekend.

After the Avengers: Endgame credits roll, moviegoers will get to see the trailer for Spiderman: Far From Home, the film that narratively follows Endgame. At the moment, Cameron's Avatar still sits at the top position of the global box office with $2.788 billion worldwide. While recent Marvel Studios films like Thor: Ragnarok, Avengers: Infinity War, and Ant-Man and the Wasp are still available to stream on Netflix, those days are nearly over; you can expect Marvel Studios content to be feeding the Disney+ beast from now on. As reported by Empire, this means Avengers: Endgame has beaten Titanic's previously held box office record of $2.187 billion, with now only Cameron's Avatar standing in the way of it being the biggest (box office) movie in history. Let us know in the comments section below.

According to a recent Disney earnings report, Avengers: Endgame will hit Disney+ on December 11, 2019.
