Last week, Keith Flint, vocalist and figurehead for the hugely popular and important United Kingdom dance group the Prodigy, died at the way-too-young age of 49.

The Prodigy star Keith Flint died last week on March 4, with Essex Police confirming they were called to the home of a 49-year-old man following concerns for his welfare. The coroner's officer, Lynsey Chaffe, said there were no suspicious circumstances surrounding Flint's death.

A post-mortem examination was carried out at Broomfield Hospital and the provisional medical cause of death was recorded as hanging.

Keith Flint reportedly split from his girlfriend Faye Kelbie just weeks before his death.

Ed Simons of The Chemical Brothers, who rose to fame in the 1990s along with The Prodigy in the emerging rave and electronic music scene, led the tributes with a memory of Flint on Instagram.

"I'm shell shocked, f**kin angry, confused and heart broken.... r.i.p brother Liam".

While Flint's death remains under investigation awaiting toxicology results, with the inquest to be resumed on July 23, the Breathe singer's body has been released.

The band also posted yesterday that messages of support from fans have "kept us going".

'Mental health affects us all and raising awareness of this was one of the key factors in establishing The Cause.

"But she didn't change her mind and insisted they sell the house", they said.
