The Belgium worldwide is set to return from his loan spell at Valencia this month after struggling to make an impact and Everton are keen to bring him in, if they can unload one of either Cenk Tosun or Oumar Niasse in January.

But he has struggled to make an impact at Valencia and Alemany said an official announcement regarding his departure from the club could be imminent.

"We are negotiating the player's exit with various other clubs".

'We are expecting an exit in the next few hours or days'.

"The player knows he is leaving, we told him some weeks ago". In some cases our patience has run out, ' he said.

Due to the inabilities of Alvaro Morata and Olivier Giroud to find the back of the net regularly this season, he should be given opportunities up front for the club during the second half of the season.

Belgium striker Batshuayi has scored a single goal in 15 top-flight appearances for Valencia, who are 12th in the table having qualified for the Champions League last term. He may have not done well during his time with Valencia but did display his quality during the stint with Dortmund.

"The effort and intention I see and I try to be fair".

Michy has only scored three goals in 23 appearances for the Spanish club but there's no doubt he would have been a danger to Celtic had Valencia even been able to call upon the striker from the bench during their doubleheader in February.
