Leading up to the stunt, Smith seemed pretty chill and excited, despite playing a segment featuring an expert who explained the physics of the jump and how life-threatening it could be, should the tiniest thing go wrong. Check out the full video below, the jump happens around 4:43.

The movie star spent his 50th birthday - September 25 - bungee jumping.

Smith's entire family- including wife Jada Pinkett Smith, daughter Willow Smith and son Jaden Smith-all stood by his side as he prepared to take off.

Smith accepted a challenge earlier in the year from YouTube creators Yes Theory to do a helibungee, which is where you bungee jump out of a helicopter, of course!

His "Fresh Prince of Bel-Air" co-star, Alfonso Ribeiro, served as a host interviewing Smith and others before and after.

"All my family walked up to the edge but I stayed back, too scared to take in the beauty". So they (Yes Theory bosses) challenged me to bungee jumping and I was like, 'Ain't nobody challenge me to heli jumping. The group helps people confront some of their biggest fears and discomforts, all while making videos in the process.

As you can see in the clip below, Smith survived the jump and conquered his fear of heights. But the jump was outside Grand Canyon National Park on the Navajo Nation.
