Those sent home from the Asian Games, which runs from August 18 through September 2, were Yuya Nagayoshi, 27, Takuya Hashimoto, 23, Takuma Sato, 23, and Keita Imamura, 22.

"I talked with delegation chief Yasuhiro Yamashita earlier and I was scolded by him", Mitsuya said.

The incident allegedly occurred Thursday when the players, who were wearing their team uniforms and had just beaten Qatar, met a Japanese-speaking local who recommended a bar where they could meet women, according to Yamashita. I kept telling myself I would rather collapse than give up.

Japan's delegation head Yashuhiro Yamashita told Kyodo news agency: "The Japan Olympic Committee chose to withdraw their accreditation and send them back to Japan early this morning".

The story broke after the four, who play in Japan's B-League, were spotted in the red light district by a reporter for Japan's Asahi Shimbun newspaper.

At the 2014 Asian Games in Incheon swimmer Naoya Tomita brought embarrassment to Japan when he was caught on surveillance cameras stealing video equipment from a journalist.

One of the support is through the 2018 Asian Games; "Asian Games is one of the crucial moments to strengthen the peace and friendship between South Korea and North Korea", said the seventh Indonesian president in a written statement.

"Athletes should always be a good symbol of society because there's a big generation" that follows them, he added.

However, it was Vinesh Phogat who took the country's tally of medals to 5 on Monday, by beating Japan's Yuki Irie in Women's Freestyle 50 kg final.

For the record, national taekwando athlete Yap Khim Wen had contributed the bronze medal in the women's Poomsae event on the first day of the Games (Aug 19).

Thus for Grewal, today's bronze is his second medal in the Asian Games.

The host country was defeated 4-0 by Chinese Taipei in a Group A qualifying match held in Jakabaring Sports Center here on Sunday night. She won a gold at the Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast in April.
