Cesc Fabregas still hoping for top-four finish

"I think we've been doing well that way, because every team we play is fighting for something".

This means that should Liverpool finish fifth and Arsenal finish in sixth but both sides win their respective European competitions, they would both automatically qualify for next season's Champions League.

"Our top scorer has scored only 12 goals and, if your best scorer has scored only 12 goals, it means it is very hard to fight for something this season", said the Italian.

Cesc Fabregas will not be giving up on finishing in the top four this season as they continue to chase Spurs for Champions League qualification.

Speaking at his post-match news conference on Saturday night, Conte said: "They [Hazard and Giroud] played a very good game, they showed a good link between them".

A top-four finish and an FA Cup final win would certainly help towards saving the season and maybe even Conte's job.

The goal against Swansea at the weekend was the Spaniard's first goal in the league since August. Today has been very positive to put that pressure on Tottenham.

"Now we have three games to go and have to win for our fans, for our work and then we'll see what happens".

After Fabregas had curled home a sublime shot following Hazard seizing on a mistake by Andy King in the fourth minute, Chelsea failed to make the most of other clear opportunities.

Suddenly, Chelsea looked more vulnerable, but Swansea have struggled to score goals all season. Manager Carlos Carvalhal is full of confidence - privately, he told friends he expected to beat Chelsea on Saturday - and that is reflected in the manner of players and supporters. It wasn't easy to get three points against Swansea because they are in a good moment of form, especially at home. He takes the ball and Dyer together.

"But I believe we have quality and determination and mental strength. If we carry on playing like that, it's sure that we will win the points we need".
